12/15 /2004: Action Air Freight Services changes to Action Freight Services

I am writing to you to advise you that Action Air Freight Services, Inc. is changing its’ name to Action Freight Services, Inc. as of January 1, 2004. We feel that our new name better represents the business we are in, that of being service provider for the freight industry. This minor adjustment to the name of the company coincides with some major systems changes we are making internally to increase or productivity and efficiencies so that we can continue to improve the services we provide.

Changes you will NOT see here are any changes to the ownership, I still own 100% of the company: to the management, to the dispatchers or customer services representatives. We will continue to be the premier expedited local freight service in Austin and the surrounding area. Our fundamental philosophies of providing the best service and communications possible will still drive us in our day-to-day operations.

Changes you will see in the first quarter of 2004 will be a new and more sophisticated dispatch software that will make us more efficient and get your PODs and charges to you more quickly. You will see an improved web site for information about the company and information about your shipments. You will see a higher quality of service at the shipping and receiving door as we improve the way we manage and communicate with our driving staff.

We at Action Air Freight Services, Inc. and soon Action Freight Services, Inc. look forward to the changes we are bringing on. I’m sure there may be some bumps along the way as we implement but in the long run you will see noticeable improvements.

12/1 /2004: Action Air Freight Services, Inc. Installs New Software!

Internally our new Crown Data System will improve our efficiency and minimize many time consuming processes. Externally our customers will see improved response times and more current information. We will continue to offer Internet based tracking, PODs and charges and now we will be able to auto-email that information when requested. We will also offer eTrac to those of our customers who subscribe to that service. eTrac will automatically send tracking and POD and charges to our customers’ information system.

We expect great things from this new package but as with any totally new system we have to expect some bumps along the way. We will make every effort to make our transition as transparent as possible to our customers but please be patient if we temporarily don’t know which button to push.
