Action Air Freight Services, Inc. was founded in 1982 as a ground handling service for SMB Stage Lines, an all cargo airline based at DFW. Through the years we have evolved from that ground handler to an airfreight delivery service, Cartage Company, warehouse provider, heavy trucker for the local Austin market and, yes, we still provide airline cargo handling. We have seen our market shift from "Air Freight" delivery, to "Logistics", to "Local" to any number of fright related services, although some are only distantly related.

In light of the shifting market, 2004 brings us a new name. Its not real different from the previous name, we just found that "Air" may be a little too service specific and does not cover the myriad of services we provide. So now we are Action Freight Services, Inc. we’ll do all the things we did yesterday plus what ever else you can throw at us.

There are a few other things changing as well. We have installed new dispatch and operating software to help us manage our increasing business. We have new hardware on which the dispatch software resides. E-Trac tracking so customers can obtain there tracking, PODs and charges without having to call. Our system will deliver the PODs to some of our customers systems automatically. Information is available via fax, email, web site or phone.

Expect new and improved services from us. We are innovative and always ready to start something new.

We have the same owner, the same management staff, the same customer service staff and the same driving staff. Improvements in operating systems have been made but you will see no changes in the positive, can do attitude you have come to expect from our staff.
